100 Unreleased Michael Jackson Songs

I knew he had something up his sleeve. He had way too few albums to be around as long as he did. With a career as long as MJ’s he should have had like 15 albums. Check this out via Musicbyday–

100 Unreleased Michael Jackson Songs?

By Marvin Marks on Jun 26, 2009 in Music News

From 1979 (Off The Wall) through 2001 (Invincible) - Michael Jackson only released six studio albums. And since 2001 (despite many rumors of a 7th studio album titled 7EVEN coming out) Jackson has not released anything new. Just six albums in 30 years. So what Jackson really that unproductive? According to this story, the answer is not really.

Apparently there are about 100 unreleased Jackson songs that he recorded “for his children” (he left behind three children aged 6 through 12.) Considering the amount of debt he left at his death (according to this story he died $400 Million in debt) it’s very likely that many of these songs will be released in the coming years on posthumous albums in order to pay off his debts and supply money for his children. It seems to some extent that was Jackson’s plan (which would be surprising in that planning for his children’s future after his death means Jackson wasn’t quite as flaky as he often seemed.)

I am curious to know more about these 100 songs. When were they recorded? Were they set up by him as complete albums to be released at a later date?”
