Michael Jackson’s Hair To be Turned Into Diamonds

This is some amazing crap! You gotta sip on this…lol. Anyway, if you don’t know by now the LifeGem Company makes precious diamonds out of human ashes. Yea, that’s right…human ashes. Sounds crazy right? Well they have done this with a few celebrities alraedy and Michael Jackson is next up. I think it’s really insane that you (yes you…they person reading this) can be turned into a little diamond and sold for thousands of dollars. That’s a hard concept to grasp if you ask me, but it’s been getting doen for a while now. The news was announced by way of the LifeGem website. Check it out right here:

Chicago, IL, July 14, 2009 – When executive producer Ralph Cohen scooped up the charred hair Michael Jackson lost in the filming of the now-infamous Pepsi commercial, he had no idea that he was saving an important piece of history.

Now, this closest connection to Jackson himself is being preserved by John Reznikoff and LifeGem. Reznikoff is one of America’s most highly respected collectors, and LifeGem is the world’s first purveyor of diamond memorials created from the carbon in a lock of hair.

Cohen, executive producer for the Pepsi commercial, was among the first to reach Jackson when he was set on fire.

As seen on the now famous video, Cohen threw his jacket over Jackson’s head to help extinguish the flames. As Jackson was being rushed off the set and to the hospital, Cohen instinctively, picked up the charred lock of hair and put it in his pocket– where it remained undisturbed for 25 years until Jackson’s death last month.

“The provenance and authenticity of this lock of hair is impeccable, including the highly publicized video showing the original owner of the hair using his Armani jacket to extinguish Jackson’s hair, said John Reznikoff. “This jacket was included with the purchase of the hair.”

A portion will remain in Reznikoff’s collection. Another portion is being used by LifeGem to create a small number of certified, high quality diamonds as a tribute to Jackson’s life.

Back in 2007 LifeGem & Reznikoff collaborated to successfully create diamonds from Beethoven’s hair.

“We specialize in creating diamonds from locks of hair.  Our plan is to give people an opportunity to own a diamond made from Michael Jackson’s DNA,” said Dean VandenBiesen founder of LifeGem. “We are currently evaluating Jackson’s hair sample to determine how many diamonds can be created. This will be a limited collection and we anticipate great interest.”

Reznikoff has assembled the most extensive collection of hair from history’s most famous figures, including Lincoln, Kennedy, Einstein and Marilyn Monroe.

Deal:Katherine Jackson Gets Custody

That’s right, Michael Jackson’s mom has finally gotten custody of the kids. I don’t know about you, but I never doubted that she was. The will said so and the kids know her better than they do Debbie Rowe so why not leave the kids with Katherine. The last child, Blanket, is not even Rowe’s kid so why would he be in her custody anyway? The kids need to be raised together and Katherine Jackson is the best fit.

Read this via OMG!:

Michael Jackson’s mother Katherine will get custody of his three children under terms of a deal that’s just been reached, it was reported Thursday. According to reports, Debbie Rowe, the mother of Michael’s eldest children, will get visitation, but no extra money.

Though he did not go into specifics, Katherine’s attorney Londell McMillan said on CBS’ The Early Show Thursday: “It’s an agreement, an agreement for the best interests of the children. This is not a money deal. This is not about money.”

Since the singer’s June 25 death, 79-year-old Katherine Jackson has remained in control of the three children, Prince, 12, Paris, 11, and Blanket, 7. Rowe has sent mixed signals on whether she wants to be the children’s guardian.

NBC’s Today show reports that under the new deal, Rowe, who will not receive any extra money, will retain her parental rights but has agreed not to claim custody.

NBC also reports that Prince and Paris know Rowe is their mother, and as a central part of the agreement, they will begin to have a relationship with her. A child psychologist will supervise the process, according to NBC.

Asked if the issue of custody and Rowe had been resolved, McMillan said on The Early Show, “We will be making an announcement very shortly on that issue, and all of the parties are resolved. There is no situation
better for these children than for them to be raised and reared in the
loving care of Mrs. Katherine Jackson.”

See how Michael Jackson’s face has changed over the years

He dismissed reports that Joe Jackson shouldn’t be involved in raising the children. Said McMillan, “I don’t think it’s valid at all. I think Joe Jackson is the husband of Mrs. Jackson, but he’s not living in Los Angeles.”

While Michael’s will requested that Katherine raise his children, he appointed his two longtime business partners, John Branca and John McClain, to look after his money.

Look back at Michael Jackson’s most unforgettable moments

Katherine receives 40 percent of the estate, but she’s fighting to be
kept in the loop on all business matters.

McMillan denied that Katherine is trying to contest the will.

“We’re not trying to rewrite the will,” he said. “Our concern is for anyone to have extraordinary powers, they need to have extraordinary trust and
integrity.”

Guess No Brett Favre This Season

Published by bjobson under Entertainment, Sports Edit This

Yep, that’s right. Brett Favre told the Minnesota Vikings that he will stay retired. Everyone in Minnesota, including the Vikings players expected to see Favre at camp. Fans had already gone out and purchased #4 Favre Vikings jerseys. Sucks for them; they wasted their money.

brett-favre.jpg

Here’s a better look at the story right here via Yahoo! Sports:

“MINNEAPOLIS (AP)—The purple No. 4 jerseys with “FAVRE” on the back were already in heavy circulation around the Twin Cities and it seemed almost inevitable that Brett Favre(notes) would end his second retirement to join the Minnesota Vikings.

Then Favre dropped the news that surprised many—inside the organization and out—when he called Vikings coach Brad Childress on Tuesday to tell him he was staying retired and would not be joining the Vikings for training camp.

“The writing on the wall was, as long as his arm was healthy he was going to play,” Vikings linebacker Ben Leber(notes) said. “I thought it was just a contractual deal that was taking so long and I really expected him to be at camp. So I was really surprised.”

Now the Vikings are left to pick up the pieces after their summer-long courtship of the future Hall of Fame quarterback ended with a phone call just two days before players are required to report to training camp in Mankato.

“It was the hardest decision I’ve ever made,” Favre told ESPN. “I didn’t feel like physically I could play at a level that was acceptable. I would like to thank everyone, including the Packers, Jets and Vikings—but, most importantly, the fans.”

Set to turn 40 in October, Favre told Childress that he didn’t think his body could withstand a 19th season in the NFL. This after he retired for a second time, was granted his release from the New York Jets and had surgery to alleviate a torn biceps in his throwing arm, presumably to get him ready for one last run at a title.

But after two months of throwing to kids at Oak Grove High School in Mississippi, and a few interviews that seemed to indicate he was leaning toward joining the Vikings, Favre came to the conclusion that he just doesn’t have it in him.

“I had to be careful not to commit for the wrong reasons,” Favre said. “They were telling me, ‘You went through all this, you had the surgery and you’ve got to finish it off.’ But I have legitimate reasons for my decision. I’m 39 with a lot of sacks to my name.”

In the end, the player who set nearly every significant passing record the NFL has during 16 brilliant seasons with the rival Green Bay Packers managed to hand the Vikings one more loss.

He turned down a chance to join the defending NFC North champions, a team with a stingy, veteran defense and the best running back in the NFL in Adrian Peterson. Adding Favre would have made the Vikings a stylish pick to win the NFC, but now they will have to go back to their original plan of having Tarvaris Jackson(notes) and Sage Rosenfels(notes) compete for the job.

“It was a rare and unique opportunity to consider adding not only a future Hall of Fame quarterback but one that is very familiar with our system and division,” Childress said in a statement. “That does not detract from the team that we have.”

Jackson’s agent, Joel Segal, said his client is eager to show the Vikings, and their fans, that they had the right man for the job all along. He will be entering his fourth season in the NFL and took strides at the end of last year before a poor performance in the playoffs contributed to Minnesota’s loss to Philadelphia at home.

Segal said the Vikings’ pursuit of Favre has not bothered Jackson.

“Tarvaris is very even-tempered,” the agent said. “He’s got a very calm demeanor. No matter what he’s always ready to compete.”

This is Favre, of course. Over the past two seasons he has shown a penchant for changing his mind, so it wouldn’t be shocking to see him reverse course and try to join the Vikings later in the preseason.

For now, at least, the Vikings seem eager to put the circus behind them and move on.

“I would love to believe him. I would love it if everybody involved could put this thing to bed and have a little respect for the other quarterbacks involved and maybe for the team,” Leber said. “Nobody wants this to linger on and be an ongoing distraction. We’ll see if he keeps his word. I understand he’s a guy that doesn’t like training camp. Nobody does.”

Leber called it “a relief” to finally have an answer to the drama and Childress said he is content with what he has on his team.

“As we have consistently communicated, we feel good about our team and they have put forth a tremendous effort this offseason preparing for the season ahead,” Childress said. “With this behind us, we look forward to getting to Mankato and getting training camp under way.”

Meth and Red React to Nas Paying Kelis $55k/month

$55,ooo a month is ridiculous. I’m pretty sure Kelis wasn’t even making that much from her music when she was actively making music and doing shows. Record companies not even paying out that much anymore for Nas to have to pay her so much. That judge who ruled in this case is a complete jerk. Itt must have been a woman……a black woman! With that said, Redman is hilarious. Peep the video:

Bush, Kardashian no mas

Published by bjobson under Uncategorized Edit This

rbkk.jpg

Reports are coming in that Reggie Bush and Kim Kardashian have split.  They claim that infidelity was not to blame for the break up.  Now i don’t understand why not having enough time together would be the issue(which is the cause for the break up).  Reggie, when he is not working(nfl off season) has time to spend with Kim, and Kim(who has no reason not to spend time with Reggie) is doing GOD knows what with her time.  Making appearances to parties, grand openings or doing photoshoots isn’t a valid excuse not to spend time with your so-called hubby.  Idk, maybe I’m wrong but I guess her priorities are straight.  Anyhow, the “sexiest couple” of all is no mas.

Mike Vick back in the NFL

Published by bjobson under Sports Edit This

vick2.jpgHeeeeeee’s back.  Micheal Vick is reinstated in the NFL……on some conditions.  Roger Goodell has stated that Vick can participate in mini camps and work outs and may be even to play in the last two pre-season games before  making a decision to fully reinstate him by week 6 of this upcoming season..  Now this comes as surprise to some…but joy to others.  Vick wasn’t a bad player on the field and everyone that knew him there forgave him for what he did off the field.  Others believe that he should pay more…and some think serving jail time is good enough.  Either way it goes, Micheal Vick is back in the NFL; all he needs now is a team.
