John Daly’s Pants Match His Personality

Published by bjobson under Uncategorized Edit This

john-daly.jpg

Well, i didn’t even know that the PGA even allowed attire like this.  This was at a PGA golf tournament in Girona, Spain. Maybe he felt as though he should be more fashion forward since they were in Europe. There is a lot great fashion coming from Europe so i would probably feel the need to do something outside the box to. On the other hand, maybe he just liked those pants and couldn’t wait to bring them out. Daly’s even matching with the sunglasses so he seems pretty fashionable to me. What do you think?

–Air Force One Scares New York–

Published by bjobson under Uncategorized Edit This

billviewer5_042709.jpg

I’m not sure what was going through the mind of the U.S Government when they decided to do a photoshoot that resembled 9/11, but if they thought that this stunt made sense then we need to go back to the drawing board about who we put in charge.

billviewer1_042709.jpg The funny thing about it is that President Obama didn’t even know about it and was furious when he found out. The flyover, which involved an F-16 jet tailing a Boeing 747, occured in Manhattan and Mayor Bloomberg didn’t know either. Someone from the Whitehouse notified the NYPD, but told them not to notify anyone else. The plane used was an Air Force One Boeing 747 that President Obama actually uses. This has to make you wonder why they tried to keep it a surprise. If it was no bog deal and was just a harmless photoshoot then why not inform everyone? They kept it a secret so there must be a good reason why. don’t you think?billviewer6_042709.jpg

“For a half-hour, the Boeing 747 and F-16 jet circled the Statue of Liberty and the lower Manhattan skyline near the World Trade Center site. Offices evacuated. Dispatchers were inundated with calls. Witnesses thought the planes were flying dangerously low.” That is just insane! They made people stop their daily routines for a big misunderstanding.

“But the flyover was nothing but a photo op, apparently one of a series of flights to get pictures of the plane in front of national landmarks. The exercise involved an F-16 escorting the plane, a Boeing 747, over Battery Park City and up the Hudson River. Some reports quoted an administration official who said the purpose of the photo op was to update file photos of the president’s plane near the Lady Liberty.”  I know i’m not by myself when i say,” They couldn’t have just used Photoshop?”

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg says that he was furious that the federal government flew the planes near Ground Zero. That was extremely risky business.  He says the flyover so near the World Trade Center site showed “poor judgment” by our government and was insensitive. He says he is furious that the NYPD and another city agencies were notified last week, but did not tell him.

If he had known, Bloomberg says he would have tried to stop it.

**2009 NFL Draft 1st Round Never Disappoints**

Published by bjobson under Uncategorized Edit This

draft.jpg

The 2009 NFL Draft has already had it’s share of drama in just the first round. The 1st round lasted 3 hours and 23 minutes. We all knew Mathew Stafford was going 1st to the Detroit Lions before the draft even began. The Cleveland Browns traded down 3 times in the first round. They went from having only 5 picks to 10 overall. The Jets were the team to make the first trade with them and they went ahead and picked Mark Sanchez (QB) from USC to be the next Broadway Joe

Everyone was shocked to see the Raiders take Darius Heyward-Bay instead of Michael Crabtree at pick number 5. Crabtree looked as if he wanted to cry backstage after he seen that he wasn’t the first WR taken. Tyson Jackson over Aaron Curry as the 1st overall defensive player taken was also a bit of a surprise. Malcolm Jenkins as the first Defensive Back taken was a shock to me too. The kid is a good football player, but Alphonso Smith seems to be better. Even Darius Butler seems to have a brighter future if you ask me.crab.jpg

The Denver Broncos and the Detroit Lions so far are having the best draft today. I’m happy for Knowshon Moreno going to the Broncos because they need a running back. Their defense is terrible and they just got the best corner back in the draft to fall to them in Round 2 at pick 37. Which reminds me that the Miami Dolphins picked Vontae Davis (DB) from Illinois with their 25th overall pick.

The Dolphins have always been good on defense and a little stagnant on offense so why would they pass up on some very good wide receivers to get a shaky DB? My goodness…. the Dolphins have struck again. I hope Bill Parcells makes this one work. Hopefully Miami will get a quality receiver such as Juaquin Iglesias from Oklahoma to fall to them in the 2nd or 3rd round.

Donovan McNabb got himself a new toy in WR Jeremy Maclin in the 1st round. We all know that they needed to give McNabb some more help. I am happy for Brian Cushing who out shined his USC team mates that were in the draft because he was a former walk-on for the Trojans. You don’t see too many walk-ons make it from college to the NFL.

Overall a good first round considering the fact that this year’s draft was not stocked with a lot of household names. I can’t wait for Fantasy Football season!!!

What’s up with these tricky cell phone bills?

Published by bjobson under Uncategorized Edit This

How does one person manage to rack up a $62,000 phone bill? Can someone please answer that for me? Well, if you don’t know then here let me tell you. Take a trip to Mexico and try to download a movie to your laptop using one of those internet connect laptop cards and that should do the trick. That’s what happened to one guy that download Wall-E to his laptop.

Roaming, especially international roaming can be a monster on your phone bill. If you ever decide to  take a trip or just go fishing off the coast, please do not use your cell phone. For those of you that live in Miami, if you stand too far east of Wet Willie’s on South Beach  then you might just get hit with international roaming so be careful.  If yo decide to go and visit another country then make sure you get a prepaid SIM card that you can use internationally in one of those cheap phones. Technology is great, but nobody said it was easy. Sip on that!!

**Bird Droppings 101**

Published by bjobson under Uncategorized Edit This

Sip on this!! Ever felt like your car is a target when you washed your car.  I think birds have these triggers that tells them that a car had just been washed.  I’ve noticed that when my car isn’t washed, birds don’t pay any mind to it and don’t “do the do” on my car, but when I decide to wash my car….they find it and crap on it.  I’m lost and dumb-founded. I don’t get why they choose to pick cars that are washed.  Maybe the cars are shiny enough that it gives off a reflection to the birds. I don’t know baout you, but im sick and tired of it.

I decided to see what i could find out about this theory of bird crap and cars.

I read that according to German studies, if you don’t remove the bird droppings before 1 or 2 days that it could leave permanent damage on your paint job. The bird droppings have acids in it that will eat away at the top layer of the clear coat of your paint.

According to an article on Cartalk.com, it is believed that birds mark their territory like dogs. They also use it as a way to mark where they have been if they are traveling, just like as if you were ona trip and you were marking your way on the map with a yellow hi-liter. They also think that the birds choose to crap on white areas because it resembles their droppings and that way their predators will have a hard time following their trail.

With all of this said, the question of why they choose to crap on clean cars still baffles me. None of these articles or research panels that i’ve seen have answered that question. Ok, so if the theory about large white spaces is correct then how come they choose to crap on clean cars no matter what the color is? If you have an answer then feel free to comment.

NBA MVP?

Published by bjobson under Uncategorized Edit This

Sip on this. I know that there are a lot of Kobe Bryant lovers and haters as much as their are Lebron James haters and lovers. Lebron James is very deserving of the MVP award this season. Now, i know hat you’re thinking..”They haven’t given the MVP yet.” I know this, but i’m rooting for King James. He has had more spectacular performances this year than Bryant not to mention having the best record in the entire NBA. How could you deny thi sguy of what he rightly deserves?

If you take Kobe off the Lakers for 25 games and do the same with Lebron James with Cleveland respectively, i bet that the Lakers will have a better record. That goes to show that Lebron is more valuable to his team. It’s Wednesday night and the playoffs are starting. Time to watch the Miami Heat vs. Atlanta Hawks game. I’ll catch you later.

“Legz” The Inspirational Stunt Rider

Published by bjobson under Uncategorized Edit This

Sip on this!! Whoever does not believe that anything is possible is a fool. This guy has no legs and has been living without them for all of his life. Legz rides an ATV better than most who aren’t physically impaired. How many individuals can pull off some of the stunts he does on that piece of machinery? I’m not sure what model that ATV is but if it is a Yamaha Banshee then more power to him because that thing is a monster. To be strong enough mentally and physically to do what he does in his position is simply amazing. Im sure once you watch the video you will feel the same way too.

This story, and all others similar to it, shows us how strong and how amazingly complex are minds are.  If i say i’m going to do something and then i fail to do it then i’m not being all that i can be. If you put your mind to it then you better believe that with hard work and patience that you can do it!
