Is A-fraud The New Face of Steroids??

The past couple of years have been full of controversy and scandal for Major League Baseball. We all know the topic at hand too. Steroids and HGH have been glooming over baseball and it’s getting worse. A-fraud, excuse me i meant A-Rod, has always been a big topic in baseball and in sports, but ever since 2009 has begun he hasn’t been looking so good. First Joe Torre wrote a broke saying that Alex Rodriguez was infatuated with Derek Jeter , whatever that means, and that people in the Yankees organization called him A-fraud.

I would love to know what does all of that mean. No one has clarified that yet. Why was he called A-fruad and why was he infatuated with Jeter and in what way? Those are big questions to me.

As if all of that wasn’t bad enough, now he admits to the recent allegations that he had tested positive for steroids in 2003. Remember a few years back he said in an interview on national TV that he had never done steroids, and now that the proof that he thought was destroyed has surfaced he had no choice. The tests administered in 2003 gave 104 positive results and the tests were to be destroyed because they were only to check and see if the percentage of MLB players using performance enhancing drugs was too high.

Somehow this information leaked out and that’s a whole other story that will come to light very soon.

I don’t believe that he did not know what type of drug he was using for 2 or 3 seasons. He had to have known what he was putting in his body. Professional athletes take excellent care of the bodies and if they are informed of everything that they use by trainers, teammates, or team staff members. Come on Alex…would you really use a drug that you knew nothing about? So if someone comes up to you with a needle and says, “here…inject yourself”, would you do it with no questions asked? I highly doubt that, unless you were already under the influence of something else at the time that you were asked to inject this needle. Let’s be serious here!!

What’s difficult to grasp is that every time you see the little league world series games on ESPN the majority of these kids say that their favorite player is Alex Rodriguez. He is the most popular player in baseball and one of the most popular in all sports. How are these young kids going to feel now about their role model? I can’t wait to see who these kids name as their favorite player come next little league world series.

Jose Canseco was right all along! I hope everything works out for A-rod, but as far as Major League Baseball is concerned……they have a lot of work to do and a lot more controversy will come of this.
