Apparently, this was almost the case. Mr.Irvin says he was on route to the gym to get a workout in at around 9pm when he stopped at a traffic light and saw a black vehicle speeding up to him from his rear view mirror.
The former Cowboy star was driving a white Range Rover at the time. According to Irvin, the car pulled up beside him and then the window rolled down.
Irvin said he did the same because he thought it was some one that recognized him. Turns out that they did recognize him, only after the guy pointed a gun out the window in an attempt to steal his truck.
Then the guy noticed that it was Michael Irvin and put the gun away and started to praise Irvin saying that he is a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. He said the guys started talking about the Cowboys’ disappointing season.
Mike said he was scared and talked to the guys very calmly the whole time. Mike wasn’t hurt and the two eventually parted ways.
If you ask me i say this story sounds askew. Why would a robber try to carjack you from within their own vehicle. Even though there was a gun being pointed at him, how effective can that be?
You can easily speed off from the light which would put you in a chase and at that point I say your chances of getting away are better than before. You might actually catch the attention of a police offer and have him be apart of the situation was benefits you completely.
Well, whatever happened according to Mr.Irvin doesn’t sound accurate enough if you ask me.
I had a debate the other day about who was the best receiver coming out of college this season. Some people say Percy Harvin and some say Jeremy Maclin. I like Dez White, but I don’t believe he is entering the draft this year. Michael Crabtree is an excellent wide receiver and there is no doubt in his ability, but i have questions about him due to the fact he played in offense that passed the ball almost every down. I would have to draft Hakeem Nix if I was a GM of a team though. He seems to have the entire skills package and he played in an offense that wasn’t as pass happy as Texas Tech. He was coached by Butch Davis, and we all know that Butch has had a track record of producing excellent NFL talent. Hakeem Nix seems to be another one of those guys if you ask me. Mark my words……Hakeem Nix will be the best WR to come out of the 2009 NFl draft.
Ok! Listen…Tebow is a very good football player and an overall great athlete. He might go down in the history books as one of the greatest to not only put on a Gators uniform, but put on any college uniform. I remember not too long ago when he was a senior playing at Nease High School and they would talk about this kid on ESPN and Sunsports and i would say to myself “I’m not seeing the big deal.” I guess we all should have known he was going to be good even when he was a freshman. The only time Tebow got into the game was on goal line situations and all he did was run the ball or throw a little jump pass every now and then, but even though opposing defenses knew this they still couldn’t stop it. I guess that was a sign that he was going to be an unstoppable force.
Personally, i like the way he shows a lot of passion for the game and fires up his teammates. I would love to have him as the quarterback of my team in college. Although if i was a wide receiver i don’t know if i would feel the same. Tebow’s game is run now and pass now not pass and then run later if i have to. Which in turn leaves his receivers with a lack of stats for NFL scouts to gauge them off of. With that said i will go on record saying that I don’t believe that he will be as good a pro player as he is in college. Numerous amounts of college greats, champions, and Heisman winners go to the NFL and end up being huge busts. Well, watch out everybody because here comes another one….and his name is Tim Tebow!

What’s going on with these referees today. First we had refs dictating NBA games. Then we had Ed taking away the game from the Chargers. Let’s not forget about that college ref that laid the wood to a South Carolina Gamecock QB. Well, just when you thought you’ve seen it all….here we go again. I’ve noticed all year that the refs are purposely trying to involve themselves with the players in the celebrations. I’m not sure why they are doing this. Maybe it’s because they are trying to break up the celebration or maybe they are just jealous. I think it’s the second one.
This ref got a little too involved here. He didn’t seem to be breaking up that celebration if you ask me, but he sure did ruin the moment that’s for sure. I wonder if he has a wife and kids. This might be funny to us all now, but maybe it’s a little bit deeper than we think. He might not be “getting any” at home if you know what i mean. His wife was probably caught cheating on him or something and his emotions are all scrambled like a Meat Lovers’ breakfast meal from Denny’s. You never know right? Well one thing’s for sure…… I wouldn’t want him working any games i was playing in.
WHAT HAPPENED TONIGHT??? Early this week, I joined the millions of rejects of fantasy football and signed up for the playoff challenge. I selected DELHOMME as my QB. What a waste? I saw the match up with Arizona and Carolina and thought Smash & Dash pt II would just do as their name states to the Cardinals defense. Boy was I wrong. I was surprised! I did not recognize the panthers tonight, nor the cardinals defense….and i had them on my fantasy team. So my question after the game was over was: WHAT HAPPENED TONIGHT?
So the unlikely has become likely. No one was picking the Arizona Cardinals to even beat the Atlanta Falcons, but they did. No one picked them to beat the Carolina Panthers either, but they did that too. The Panthers were a NFC favorite this season. They were surely my pick to win the NFC. I like the Cardinals because i feel they are a team full of talent and are always seen as the underachieving underdog, but i didn’t expect the young and inexperienced team to be this good in the playoffs. When they announced that Anquan Boldin was not going to play i just knew that they were not going to win. Well, seems like i was as wrong as everyone else. Larry Fitzgerald was up to his usual beast mode style of play and would not be denied tonight.
Now that the Cardinals have beaten Carolina i think the rest of the teams left in the playoffs should watch out because the underdog Cardinals are playing like the favorites now!
